Ifield Parade - Regeneration Project
As you will see from the scaffolding erected at the parade, the regeneration works have already begun with the facias of the retail outlets.
At the end of August, the work will begin on the planted areas, seating and surrounding walled area - running along side this there will be CCTV added. There will also be work added to smarten up the carpark and CBC have come to an agreement with the Pelhams to use their carpark as overflow for the parade - so this will be revamped too!
Playbuilder Funding for Ifield West
As one of 3 applications for Playbuilder funding that went before a commitee at WSCC, I am delighted to report that we have been successful in our bid for funding!!
Ifield West and Three Bridges were the 2 applications that were approved and awarded funding - Ifield West has been given a massive £58,000 to add new play equipment targeted more toward the teenagers on the estate. This is an excellent addition to the work that is currently being undertaken by the WSCC Youth Service - so a MASSIVE thanks to Nikkie Gladwin-Parfat at CBC and also to Steve Pearson and his team on the WSCC Outreach Programme!
The work on this will start later this year with a young peoples consultation.
Ifield Residents Forums
We are in the process of setting up an Ifield Residents Forum for all of the residents within the ward.
This will be a non-political forum that will have a mixture of Borough Councillors, County Councillors and Council Officers available to assist local residents in having an active role in shaping their communities.
